Ryan's Story
Update of 4-26-2004:
Guess what?? We're HOME!!!
Ryan has left doctors and nurses alike scratching their heads in amazment at his light speed recovery from surgery a mere 4 days ago.
Saturday morning he still couldn't eat or drink yet and ventured out of bed for just a few steps.
By Saturday evening he was cruising the halls plus eating and drinking! By Sunday he was off his IV pain medication and just doing oral meds.
By MOnday morning they ran out of excuses to keep him in the hospital and sent us packing. We were home by 1:00 p.m.
Next on the horizon is his 5th round of chemo which may be as soon as a week from tomorrow. The surgeon has to give his "okay" first. Otherwise, it'll be the following Tuesday.
